My brother is suffering from drug addiction and other health problems, which until now I couldn’t understand completely. I know someone who had the same problem and was treated using dual-diagnosis program. It effectively worked for him. But the center where he was cured is far from us. We sent my brother to a Narcotics Anonymous class and he hated it, we assumed he was against anything that would help him but i looked into it and I was very surprised when i discovered they have such a terrible track record, in fact we are sure we do nto want to send him to any form of 12 step programs in Des Moines, IA. in fact we have decided to enroll him in a treatment center in iowa, we just do not know which one yet. Please share your opinions. We hope to enroll him in some type of drug rehab classes by October.

For my Senior Project next year, I’m interested in learning how to read Braille, but I want to take lessons for it, not one of those online programs where you teach yourself. Does anyone know how I might go about doing this? If it doesn’t work out, I’m also interested in volunteering at a drug/alcohol rehab center. Is this possible? Would they accept teen volunteers? Not the person dealing with any medicine/ drug withdrawl or biological issues, more on the psychotherapy end of the spectrum. Finding out what happened, why it happened and how to help them get better.
Do I need to become a psychologists (PhD) Or can I do this with a master in clinical psych/ counseling psych, Master of Social Work?

I’m not into drugs, or addicted to drugs or alcohol. I’ve googled it and every christian rehab center I find talks about addictions to drugs and alcohol. my addiction is actually porn, and sex. I want to be set free of it and I want to check myself into a rehab facility and get the help that I need. I just need more information and if there is a facility for me for what I need.
