Dual Diagnosis Treatment

by Drug Rehab Program on August 24, 2011

Dual diagnosis treatment – Rachel finally got the right kind of help. www.therecoveryplace.net (877) 753-3869 Dual diagnosis treatment centers help addicts and alcoholics treat the underlying problems that are reinforcing their substance abuse issues. Rachel’s been clean for 14 months now, and the integrated dual diagnosis treatment she received at The Recovery Place is what made all of the difference. “Dual diagnosis is basically having more than one addiction or more than one problem that you are dealing with. Like depression, an eating disorder or some kind trauma. I experienced a very traumatic life. I was born into addiction; both of my parents were addicts.” The Dual Diagnosis Treatment Program at The Recovery Place works closely with clients to address both sides of the problem. Working on only the addiction or only the underlying factor is a major reason why people relapse. It is crucial to receive integrated dual diagnosis treatment for addiction linked with disorders such as anxiety, OCD, depression, PTSD, bipolar and other mental health problems.

Recovery Resources is linking to this. Sorry, didnt see title. Im not to happy with them, it was humiliating they labelled me “the mental case who wont take pills” then threw me out in front of everyone leave 3 weeks into my recovery. Just Like the big book sais I was on the pink cloud full of energy, feeling good not bi-polar. My pink parachute was being thrown out for ” non med complience” . this was @ oceanside treatment center.

Dual Diagnosis = Psychiatric disorder
Psychiatric disorders are not medical diseases. There are no lab tests,MRIs brain scans, X-rays or chemical imbalance tests that can verify any mental disorder is a physical condition. This is not to say that people do not get depressed, or that people can’t experience emotional or mental duress, but psychiatry has repackaged these emotions and behaviors as “disease” in order to sell drugs. This is a brilliant marketing campaign, but it is not science.
