My 15 year old daughter got into drugs at school, and had a near fatal overdose 7 months ago. She will be leaving her rehab center in a matter of weeks and I am scared to death she will fall back in with the same crowd. I can’t afford to move away, and private school is also not an option, because of the costs. Do I lock her in her room? Do I follow her around everywhere? She is clean and sober and cries to me to help her stay that way, but I was totally blindsided by her drug use once and I dont want to go through that again. Any advise would be appreciated. Thanks! Also, if it makes any difference, her drug of choice was cocaine.

Friends of mine have an adult child who has already been through short term drug and alcohol rehab (2 weeks to 30 days) treatments, only to relapse. Well I have been on and off of pain killers for nearly 16 years now due to a messed up lower back and many surgeries to correct the problems. I was off of painkillers for a long time but last year I was starting to hurt again from my back. So exactly one year ago I started pain management and got back on them once again. This past December I had my 6th surgery and a fusion on L4 & L5. It’s been a slow recovery but so far I am making good progress.. but my addiction to Loritabs have gotten a hold on me.
I feel so bad for having this addiction because I am having to buy extra pills from other people because the two a day just wasn’t enough to get me through the day but now the pain is slowly easing off the pill taking has not.
So my plan is simple. Start backing down a half a pill every two weeks. I don’t take that many so a half should do the trick. Has anyone else ever done this? How successful where you? Do you still crave the “high” feeling from taking them?
Wish me luck guys.. this isn’t going to be very fun but its needed. It’s this or end up in a drug rehab center.

In a few months, I’ll be moving to Colombia to assist with a homeless shelter/drug rehab center. I’m quickly trying to learn Spanish with Rosetta Stone, but in the mean time, I thought it would be helpful to have Spanish sentences posted throughout my apartment. Lol, Sierra. Of course it’s not a question I will likely ask, but the parts of the question “who” and “repair” and “towel” are not so far off. It’s a matter of learning the words and how to work with them in sentences. I just thought it’d be helpful to see the Spanish words associated with the things I have around my room so I can be learning as I go about my day. My main study, as I mentioned, is by Rosetta Stone. This is just a supplement to that. If you’d rather not help, that’s ok. You don’t have get upset about it. : )
