Any layman can guess that these are basically rehab programs for the drug addicts and alcoholics. But what does this free standing facility mean?
Well it is a particular type of drug rehab program. Precisely this facility of treatment is not available in any hospital. Rehab hospitals

Basic detox programs
The primary level treatment meant for the drug addicts and the alcoholics is the detox program that is an integral part of the drug rehab programs. This treatment is provided both in the rehab hospitals and the exclusive rehab centers with stand free facility.
The patient is given the basic medicinal support to allow him/her to leave drugs step by step. But detox is not sufficient in many cases. We’re really strapped for cash. My husband got fired from his job because they discovered that he’s using heroin. My income alone will not be enough to get him into a drug rehab.
